History of Accu-Tech and JBL Solutions

Accu-Tech was founded in 1979 by George Lyles. The Gulf Coast (Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida) is home to hundreds of petrochemical, chemical and by-product refineries, along with thousands of industrial distribution and light fabrication companies. MIS was designed with a goal of providing business solutions to the distribution and light fabrication markets.

From the very beginning, the focus has been on the development, production, and on-going support of our high-quality software product called Management Information System (MIS). Our mission is to provide real-time answers and solutions for your company so that you may realize your full potential.

In the mid-1990’s, George retired, and his son, Bob Lyles, assumed the leadership role.  Bob has led the charge to continually enhance and develop MIS. Through Bob’s leadership and vision, MIS has become a software solution that is used by distributors and light fabricators nationwide.

In 2015, collaborative discussions between Accu-Tech and Dataweld began. The owners of Accu-Tech and Dataweld, Bob Lyles and Jim Broughton, formulated plans to ensure their companies would continue to grow and thrive for the next generation of users and beyond. Jim and Bob have been friends for over 30 years and have worked together on numerous projects during that time span.

More than 3000 users are running the MIS Accu-Tech, CylTech 2, and AcuTrax software solutions throughout the United States, along with users in Canada and the Bahamas.  JBL Solutions currently has three physical locations housing our support, development, and administrative functions.
